Our Mission, Vision, Goals, and Values:
I. Our Mission for the Chapter
The NCMA San Diego Chapter’s mission is to advance the contract management profession in San Diego County. The Chapter provides educational programs to its local members, and fosters their professional growth and development through Chapter leadership, certification training, and networking opportunities.
II. Our Vision for the Chapter
Our vision is to be viewed by local public and private sector companies and organizations and their leaders as an important resource for education, recruitment, and professional development in contract management. This includes providing advocacy, training, education, and networking that enable the entry, development, and advancement of all contract management professionals in San Diego County.
Be recognized as a professional organization that provides valuable services to its members. This includes being recognized for presenting relevant, timely, and effective seminars and workshops concerning contract management topics.
Be recognized as local subject matter experts in contract management areas. Provide a source for networking and connecting with other contract management professionals through educational and social events.
III. Our Chapter Goals
NCMA San Diego’s strength lies in a local and diverse base of membership representing the full spectrum of contract management professionals across government, industry, academia, and the nonprofit sector in San Diego County.
NCMA San Diego’s goals include providing:
Workshops and seminars on current contract management topics
Provide webinars on current contract management topics. Webinars will be hosted by a local member and include educational content from NCMA Headquarters.
Contract Administrator Round Table (CART) meetings. CART meetings provide an open forum for participants to pose questions on contract management issues.
Networking Opportunities with the local contract management community. These may include social gatherings, sports activities, or meals with the local community.
Job Postings for local employers seeking skilled contract management professionals.
Provide certification study groups based on interest from Chapter members seeking NCMA professional certifications.
Supporting local colleges and universities that offer studies in business, contracts or law.
Work with other professional organizations in the region to promote successful contract management practices.
Provide opportunities for all Chapter members to have leadership positions within the Chapter to strengthen their leadership abilities in the workplace.
